History
The NorthWestAirline corporation started out by delivering mail. They company at the time had access to two airplanes that they rented. Ten years after the airline mail carrier business was started Northwest created the first oxygen mask for commercial flight.
The Red tail on Northwest planes was started in 1948 and continued since then.
